EVERBIZ partnered with the Israeli brand NEWA to carry out efficacy verification of NEWA radiofrequency beauty devices, verifying the products’ cosmetic effects and effectiveness.

Radiofrequency (RF) refers to high-frequency alternating electromagnetic waves. These beauty devices deliver high-frequency current into the subcutaneous tissue, where the tissue’s natural resistance generates heat, stimulating the skin to produce new
collagen and fibres that firmly support the skin, reducing wrinkles and tightening it.
RF beauty devices can also deliver high-frequency alternating current into the subcutaneous tissue; the vibration caused by changes in the current creates a local high-heat effect that causes vacuoles in muscle fibres, which then tighten and shrink, helping to
slim the face. These devices are clearly effective but highly irritating to the skin, and are not suitable for thin,
sensitive skin.
There are several types of RF beauty devices:
1. Monopolar RF: the positive and negative poles do not act on the same surface – one pole acts on your skin and the other is connected to ground. The energy emitted from the electrode spreads out beneath the skin and its penetration depth cannot be controlled, so it is better suited to deep treatment, requires highly professional operation and is not suitable for home use.
2. Bipolar RF: here the positive and negative poles act on the same surface, i.e. both contacts are on the same skin surface. Countless connected arc-shaped magnetic field lines between the two poles extend beneath the skin; when bipolar RF is applied, the extent of the field is the treatment area.
Bipolar RF acts at a fairly uniform depth over a narrow area, and the shorter the distance between the poles, the higher the field energy closest to the skin surface, which can easily burn the surface layer, so the skin must be cooled continuously during treatment.
3. Multipolar RF: because bipolar RF still has limitations in home beauty devices, brands have made various improvements based on the bipolar principle – perhaps better called combined bipolar RF. In fact, several bipolar pairs act simultaneously.
By technically controlling the changes at each electrode, the field lines between electrodes interact, distributing energy more evenly. So the number of contacts does not determine the number of poles: however many contacts there are, they are arranged as positive and negative poles, and the electromagnetic field is generated between them.
In short, these are the principles of RF beauty devices. Choose according to your needs and, above all, use them under the guidance of a qualified professional.
